If by some chance, we make a bowl game...

Can we make a bowl game by going 6-6.

I wasn't sure if Nevada was I-AA or not, and even if their not, are we invited as a 6-6 team....

and if so...is it to Boise?

replying to my own topic, let's assume that Bill Callahan is gone, and we have an interim coach in place with a head coaching search complete or in the final phases.

Nevada is a 1-A, but it doesn't matter because a 1-AA win would count towards a bowl too. Only if it were the Alamo Bowl, I could trade my Big 12 Championship tickets, but other than that no.

Assuming Callahan's gone, yeah--it'd be exciting to see what happens with a new coach, or to see the interim coach pull together a staff like Pellini did after Solich was canned.

I would go if it was a warm weather game!! I would not go to Boise.

If the Mountain West or (more likely) WAC doesn't have a team to fill a slot there is always the New Mexico Bowl. CBS Sportsline a couple of weeks ago picked Colorado to take the WAC's spot in that game, but now I feel it's more likely Nebraska if an opening and 6 wins. I'd take the short drive there to watch them play. :) Albuquerque is much better than whatever city hosts the Independence Bowl in my opinion.
