So, just because you’re not liking what you’re reading and don’t want to admit that he’s got a lot of very impressive traits as a candidate means the rest of us are in WTF territory? Ummm, okay.
“Bring the wood” is a phrase that was popular during the 90’s that meant to deliver a punishing hit defensively. Similar to “bring the heat”. Or, to dominate and be aggressive. It can mean executing a play exceptionally as well.Just wow :worship
Yes I agree.Nebraska (and Iowa and Purdue and Indiana and Maryland and...) is a better job than GT because we will be getting close to $100M/year in TV payouts while GT will be getting $40M/year in TV payouts.
So, Lane's out?
Yes, he was never in to begin with
Lane is a twitter troll. That is part of his charm.
So the argument in the article is that Kentucky and Ole Miss are closer to reaching the playoffs then Nebraska. Very True. Wt the expanded playoff coming, it is entirely reasonable to think that established coaches at almost all of the schools we've mention (Baylor, Kentucky, KSU, ISU - maybe not Kansas, etc) may prefer to just stay put and back their way into the playoff by getting that 8-12 place ranking. Or they can battle the problems of turning around Nebraska and hope we can overcome our competitive conference to end up in the top 12.So, Lane's out?
I didn't think I'd have to explain that was a joke, but here we are. Editing...

It was stated quite a bit in relation to Nebraska playing Oklahoma. When we played with passion and toughness. Of recent though, it can be associated with a lot of hot air more than anything else.

Texas with an imaginary second on the clock comes to mind…The other definition — getting f*cked — also applies to Nebraska playing Oklahoma.

I say all of that to say, don't be surprise if the new coach is a G5 coach who is successful at that level and wants to finally compete for the opportunity to get into the playoff.
