Huskers @ Ohio State

The last point should have been an ace for the Huskers.  Huskers celebrated.  No whistle.  Ohio State was awarded the point.  Cook had to challenge to get it back.

Let's just say John wasn't happy.



 
The Ohio State student section started chanting "Over-rated" when tOSU was up 15-10 in the third.

Perhaps that was ill-advised.

We've scored 78 points in three sets but are down 1-2.  Crazy match.

 
I’m beginning to wonder if this team is as good as I thought they were. We have not done well against the top teams we’ve played.

We don't seem to be able to really tune in our setting game.  Hames is generally solid but Orr started the season before Evans took over for most of the year but they went back to Orr as the second setter today.  Particularly today there were quite a few sub-par sets.

Also, I think running the 6-2 is messing with our serving game.  We used to use substitutes to bring in the best servers.  But now that we use up a bunch of substitutes to bring in different setters and hitters, we have to have people serve who probably wouldn't in a 5-1.  We get a ton of service errors.

Something I was frustrated with during this game was that it seemed like our setting was very predictable.  There was one set where we set almost everything to the left side.  It didn't matter what else was happening, every set went to the left side.  I don't understand why Cook would have them be that predictable.
