From someone separated from seeing and reading about the players in the Omaha area, there is a fine line of getting legit talent and still wanting to build the program with Nebraska boys
I've noted the lack of D1 talent being produced in the Metro for years. Not just that Nebraska wasn't getting the talent, but that there simply wasn't much of it going anywhere.
That's definitely changed in the last few years. And other than last year Nebraska has done a pretty good job of keeping them home.
Here are the top five prospects from the state according to the 247 Composite and which class they played in high school. Players the Husker got are highlighted red. Players are crossed out if they didn't go to a Power 5 school (Marsh originally walked-on at NU then transferred).
