Rhule bringing back the option confirmed! Sims has a few years of eligibility even if CT stays.

It is 2022 people! Qbs are passing their way to the CFP. Love his athleticism but it will be a LONG yearFor better or for worse, this team is going to look different next year on both sides of the ball. Sims is really intriguing. He has good physical tools and seems to have high upside as a player. Casey is a capable runner but doesn't seem very willing. Really like that it seems like we'll have a QB run game again.
Can't knock a kid for wanting to make his own choices but why leave Oklahoma for one season just to go back? Wonder what his reasons are for leaving in the first place. Couldn't have been that bad in order to decide to go back.Scratch one target.
No. The run game is still the key. Without running and stopping the run, you don’t get there. GA, Bama, MI, etc etc. All fine to throw the ball well BUT run game is determinative. It is 2022 people! Qbs are passing their way to the CFP. Love his athleticism but it will be a LONG year
I can't tell if you are serious or not, but I'll explain. His coach left last year at OU, so he transferred. His OC left this year at SC, and anyone after time away might miss what they had before. It seems pretty straightforward. Can't knock a kid for wanting to make his own choices but why leave Oklahoma for one season just to go back? The run game and a relative amount of balance will always be key. But you will not win anything on a championship level without a qb who can process defenses and throw to all 3 levels. That’s the issue to me just like getting purdy out the portal last year. We just need higher upside at qbNo. The run game is still the key. Without running and stopping the run, you don’t get there. Neb is the perfect example. Look at the past 20 years. The further we’ve gone away from the run game, the worse we get.
Even the pass heavy offenses lose UNLESS the have a reliable, strong run complement.
Still need time to do so. Games are won & loss in the trenches. The run game and a relative amount of balance will always be key. Exactly.... plus, Max Duggen's legs have done a ton of damage this year. I agree with the OP here as far as do NOT go option exclusively (which no one says we are), but having a mobile QB who has some designed runs, yes, even option is a huge advantage. QB run is the only time the offense is even with the defense in terms of numbers.No. The run game is still the key. Without running and stopping the run, you don’t get there. I agree lol. You preaching to the choir o line and d line can mask an lesser qb but if we are gonna compete at a high level I don’t think sims is the qb we should entertainStill need time to do so. Games are won & loss in the trenches.
