I'm far from an expert on this stuff, but my guess is that the better programs are looking for immediate upgrades/help.  This guy is younger, and seems like a bit of a project, but he seems like a good addition.

Potentially down the road a better outcome than Rouse? Rouse only had one year left and would miss spring with shoulder surgery, whereas Hood has multiple years to develop, as well as adding depth.

Hood has yet to see the field. Rouse has actually produced and produced very early. Hard to say.

This is a good get.  You can’t teach his size and if Rhule/staff are the development coaches we were sold on, this should be a productive player within 2 years

It’s good to get him.  I’ll be pleasantly surprised if he contributes next year. But, good to get more bodies in the room.

I'd create some packages where he was in there as Fullback in short yardage situations.

True, but spending a year on georgias scout team is going to prepare him well to take on the big ten west. He went against NFL players everyday in practice.
