trick plays?

Trick plays don't necessarily tell a player that they can't hang with or beat a team straight up. Trick plays are designed to catch a team off guard and make them 'think' rather than 'react'. If anyone watched FSU in the 80's & 90's and they played a tough opponent in the regular season or bowl game, Bowden would pull a few trick plays out of his hat. They would almost always end up demoralizing their opponent. Since the opposing defense would be in thinking mode as opposed to react mode.

I am sure they have some ready, but the down, distance and field position have to be right for the call to be used.

We should do this on the opening posession against KU....

15 Laterals

Better yet...if we kickoff first, we should do an onside kick. :) They'd never see that coming and would be running backwards w/no chance of recovering the kick. Especially if our kicker lined up normally on the KO. :)

I think Cosgrove needs to scrap that one defensive play he uses where no one covers the RB. Part of the D goes one way and the other half goes the other way, leaving room for the RB to run right through.

Im not sure what its called, but that play has hurt us all season.
