They lost to them by 26 in Lincoln and in the three games they played without Bandoumel (including Penn State where he only played 7 minutes) they have lost by an average of 15. In the 5 games since Gary was injured they lost by an average of 12 and that includes beating Ohio State.Huskers seem to be fading a bit.
Illini are long but streaky, -13.5 is a big number.
Just don’t take the Corn Kamikazi off the floor.Whoa. 9-0
Interesting choice for a first post and no, that is not a compliment.

I am so tired of morale victories. Today against IU we put up a fight that no serious basketball expert ever believed would amount to anything -- and it didn't. Nebraska basketball continues performing at a second or even third rate level. Frankly, we do not deserve to continue playing Big 10 basketball and it is interesting that other BIG 10 schools continue to give us lip service as though we are a competitor. We're not a serious competitor. We're cannon fodder and we have no reasonable explanation that this will ever change.
Unfortunately our football team has also performed at a second rate level for a number of years. UNL football has become an unspeakable embarassment and the team has now also become cannon fodder. We were once the benchmark in footfall as the best of the best. How did we fall from such a great height? The UNL athletic department, President and Chancellor are responsible and they need to answer more than serious questions. They need to step aside.
Coaches Rhule and Hoiberg are not the answer. They are simply the latest cards to be played while UNL leadership continues to play the game and collect big paychecks. In another few years we'll be dealing with the same results and the same challenges.
