Your 2023 Nebraska Cornhuskers

Looks like Lattimer from the The Program

I know there are plenty of kids who can play D1 from day one. Plenty.

but you look at a guy like that with a couple yrs in development and man, they’ve turned a freak into a monster (by the eye test)

it sucks because it was injury, but if he turns his tough times into productive times, it was worth the wait. Some kids should just wait it out and work n develop. I really hope Fidone has a fine season, he deserves it and has stayed loyal to N…that means a lot in my book

return player of the year in NCAA imo

Sounds like you'll see the defense tapping their helmets between plays a lot going forward.  It's the signal that they've heard the call.

Hopefully we see that all the time. Offense ought to tap to signal they got the play and snap count and know what they are to do and then actually do it.

Beat the 4 bad teams, split vs the equal teams, steal one from the slightly better category.

That puts us at 7-5.

Weaker.     LA Tech , NI.   2 wins

Very Strong.   MI. 1 loss

Fairly Competitive.   Rest are toss up types. Probably win half maybe barring injuries or a general first year struggle.

Wins = 6-7.  Losses 5-6.   Bowl. Toss up.

Final tally range = 6 - 8 wins, 5-7 losses.

Team strengths:  athletic. Speed in the speed positions.  Some experience in some positions.  New systems give NU a slight advantage vs early opponents.

Team weaknesses:  many young, inexperienced guys so depth is limited.  Likely starting 4-6 freshmen / transfers for their first years. New systems may be hard to master for younger guys.  Execution errors expected.  New staff is also first season in Big Ten vs very experienced coaches and players.

How the hell is Iowa 27 and we are 48?

They have been winning those games though, and we have not.  Rankings aren't going to change until we actually prove we can win more games than we lose.
I know.  My comment was very tongue in cheek making fun of us losing so many one score games.  I still think they are rated to high.
