Makovicka era ends.........but a new one begins

Not sure but likely won't be playing FB due to his size. Likely would be a DB. Yet I do hope his brother Justin gets to shine at FB maybe next year.

Does anyone know if Jordan will be attending NU. If there is one family that knows and could teach the rest of this team about what it means to play football at NU it would be the Makovicka's. It looks like we probably will see numerous other Makovicka's wearing the "N" as there are already 5 grandsons.......WOW! I can't wait.
God bless the Makovickas!!! :clap

Any time anyone from that family wants to suit up, I say we let them.

I had the same question when I read that article. I'm assuming he hasn't been offered a scholarship since the article didn't mention it, but perhaps he could participate in the expanded walk-on program that hopefully will return next year. He's exactly the kind of guy we would want in that program that would help out-of-state kids understand what it means to play for NU.

Joel Makovicka is by far......BY FAR my favorite Nebraska Football player to ever play the game. I would sh*t my pants if I could ever meet this guy. My number back in high school was 45 because of Joel and i've seen him play a few times back in the day. I would always tell my mom to take pictures of Joel when they would go to a NU game. I can't wait till Justin is done with Nebraska so i can order my #45 Nebraska jersey with Makovicka on the back of it. Nothing against Justin it's just a NCAA rule where you can't get a jersey with a current player is on that team during that year and guess what Justin is number 45 and his last name is Makovicka.

Didn't the other Makovicka's come in as RB's that we put weight on and converted to FB? I'm sure the same can be done this time around.

It might be possible. Jeff was 5-10, 190 his Freshman year and was 5-10, 215 as a senior. Joel was 5-10, 195 as a Freshman and 5-11, 235 as a senior. Justin is 6-1, 235 as a redshirt Freshman this year. Jordan is listed at 5-10, 170. So maybe....

That's what I love about Korea - rules don't apply. Wanna see my Ruud jersey?

(qualifier - purchased it before the season started, haven't worn it since game 3) :hmmph

they should just have a delivery room on campus so the fetuses could be inserted directly into the weight program.

I believe I recall reading a newspaper article awhile back that he's a baseball player. I don't know if he'll play for NU or not.

They would probably outlift some of our current linebackers . . .
