Bump was my neighbor when I was a kid.  Bit of a douchebag.

Jay was always cool though.

I knew Bump through age group track (he was a few years older than me).  Great pole vaulter.  Scared of heights.  Someone asked him how he could pole vault if he was afraid of heights.  He said he couldn't see how far up he was without his glasses/contacts.

I knew I made her happy back then, just didn’t realize I made her THAT happy to still be talking about me all these years later.  Makes my heart full that she still has that twinkle in her eye.
