Nebraska Legislature Thread

The 'ol pass the tax burden onto the poorest strategy, ya love to see it.

But hey, if the people of Nebraska want the tax burden on the poorest Nebraskans, so be it. I own a house and welcome saving money. Screw those dirty poor people and their dirty hungry children.

 
You know....even when I was a Fox News junky Republican party believer.....I had no problem with teachers or professors who held differing opinions to myself.  I always thought that was a great thing about our educational system (especially at the college level) is that people are exposed to differing views and opinions.

For some reason, the current iteration of the Republican party are so thin skinned that they just can't handle it when someone exists that doesn't agree with them.

 
Don't have money to feed kids. 

Schools must tighten their belt because there's no money.

University must cut programs because their's no money.

Can't expand medicare because there's no money.

But...we need a $1 billion lake.  :facepalm:

Dan doesn't want to sell the land.   that land has been in the Bundy family for generations and he wants to pass it on to his kids.   and what it says at the end of the article is very true.  that land has flooded many times.   any development in that area is asking for trouble.

I don’t believe a State can expand Medicare 

 
It will never happen, but imagine putting train transportation between Grand Island, York, Lincoln, Nebraska Crossing and Omaha.

What would make you think such a thing?  When people like Erdman are saying rational things like “God created standard time”, what could they screw up?
