Worth considering how many portal players want to sign on as a role player at this stage. No obvious starting position up for grabs and I think many of those in the portal are looking for more minutes/opportunities... not sure if we offer that very well with who we have already signed and those we have coming back.

At some point reality will start to set in for some of these players.  That a role player situation at Nebraska, is better than starting in lower conference.

Yeah that could be the case for most in the portal. For others, they may shine better in a bigger role in a non-Power Six conference. For example, some may prefer to get 6-10 minutes a game at Nebraska while others would like to play 25-30 at UNO. Just a matter of individual perspective. 

That said, we do have at least eight to nine players already in the rotation. A big man would certainly help, but that applies to every team out there. With no obvious hole in the roster for minutes available, finding somebody willing to wait in a role spot might be tough.
