He is only 160 lbs.
I think weight nowadays is a little overrated for skill guys.  If you are worried about him being jammed at the line there are ways around it.  If someone is fast and has really good hands you can get them the ball.  Granted I know nothing about the kid but being 160 doesn't automatically qualify you as a project.

I agree. I think a project at QB is a bigger deal. Skill positions if you have the talent with the right coaches it could click fast. Who knows what kind of coaching he is getting in high school

It seems to me that he doesn't have a committable offer yet but honestly, I would give him the green light. With that kind of speed, and if you can get him early (S&C) he could get in the rotation next year. That first step is nasty.

He reminds of all those WR's Rhule had at Baylor. Those rangy guys at 6ft-6ft 3in that could just run.

This kid has run a 10.5 in a couple meets this year and actually comes from a football state.  Lloyd was a track first guy and was our biggest HR threat last year at 160 and will be this year also.  I would be perfectly fine with his commitment.

Aren't we splitting hairs here?

Don't underestimate a prospect with his ability wanting to be here. I would take that over a high end guy who has only one foot in.
You did not read all the posts.  Because his offer list is weak, I mentioned he could be a prospect.  You took it from there.  He fits the speed Rhule likes.

You're right, I did not. I don't care about offer lists much in Texas because there are so many guys. If he can run and catch, they can make him into a dude.
