Your 2024 Nebraska Cornhuskers

I think Sipple or SC called him an OT in one of their videos.  So probably why those offensive blocking reps I took he was trying to play OT.  Either way I wasn't impressed with his blocking.  either way he looks fairly athletic and is in good shape.  he looks like a young Flula Borg
Definitely a developmental guy. But has crazy size at 6’8” 254. And he has a six pack. Dude is lean.

sounds like he is indeed coming in as an OT.

6’8” 257 w/6’11 wingspan. Wow. 4.96 40. This one is gonna be a few years before he has a chance. Haven’t heard if this is an NIL/Walk-on add or scholarship.

also, this dude looks like Borat and it’s killing me. very nice!!!

If you really look at him as a offensive tackle he has quick feet which you love but he needs work on blocking and to of course add weight.  If you look at him as a defense end then he is quick but needs help with hand placement as well but he has upside on both sides.  Just whatever side is better for him and the coaches who knows  :dunno

Why would you be? He's never played real football before. Comparing him to a typical 22 year old offensive tackle is like going to the YMCA soccer games and comparing the 5 year olds there to Messi.

I'd be concerned if this was all this staff went after. Most of what they go after are legit prospects, then they try some low odds attempts at some big fish and a few of these hopefuls.

Sounds to me like the dude has blocked and played football many times in his life. The staff knows what it takes.

They've talked about these sorts before, and they do this for primarily two reasons (one really).

1) He's got the measurables they like.

2) They like to take a guy from these camps to show attendees that it's worth their time to attend.

The guy is gonna come in, they'll fatten him up, teach him some things and we'll see if he pans out (he probably won't). He gets to live his football fantasy and even in the event he doesn't become anything, maybe signing him gets someone else to attend that does have a better shot of becoming something.

We've done the same thing with walk-ons for a million years. When we were running 150 man rosters, 65-70 of those are paying their own way. If we had a free scholarship or two we'd hand one out, but the odds of any of those walk-ons getting a scholarship, much less becoming a starter, are very low. That carrot every now and then keeps them signing up, and if you occasionally gain an extra player that way then that's great. You're not building a whole team out of walk-ons and camp invites, though.
