Was going to call you a liar... then I looked up the video. Only saw 405 X 4, but the video I found was from last year. Pretty narrow grip even for a non 6'8" person, incredible.

Helps that we have arguably the top throwing coach in the country for track and a football staff that encourages multi-sport athletes to pursue whatever goals they have in other sports. If we can show any level of progress this year (I think we will), I suspect that we will be in the driver's seat to landing him. 

 
I have known about this kid since he was born.  Dad is an olympic shot putter.  Mom was the Nebraska HS record holder in the shot.  Terri Steer.  Kid will break the HS national record in the shot.  81'.  Michael Carter in the 70's.  Nebraska has 1 of the best throws coaches in college.  The best?  That is the coach at Cal.   Hopefully he comes!

That might be underselling it a bit. Mom was also an olympic shot putter.
