Maybe it’s just me but observers pointing out a pretty massive break in trend, for whatever the reasons, on home price vs income doesn’t seem “douchey”.  

 
Just wait...when interest rates drop again and people scramble to buy houses...your 350K home will have 12 offers, 8 of them cash, 6 of them 10% over the asking price and 1 of them will be 20% over asking price.

Then it will be more chaos.

Better have your paperwork lined up and ready to sign if you are going to be selling your place and buying something new...if not it will be the dreaded phone call to your parents "Hey, so...can we stay with you for a bit while we find our new home?"

It’s in the economy thread, as you know since you replied to it.   Not the Biden America thread.  I expect no one to say nothing.

We have some people in this country who try and downplay how inflation affects a family’s pocketbook as just a $.39 increase in the weekly cost of cheese at the grocery store.   I have disagreed and seem to on the right side of argument.  It’s why I like posting these things.  
 

But if you want to go straight to OMG Biden, feel free

You are correct.  The inflation was bad.  But, that was set in place once the pandemic response started.  Inflation has come way down since then.  It's still not quite to the 2% goal but it's dang close.

So, what do you want people to do with the information you posted?  There's nothing we can do about the past.  All we can do is work to bring it down and the administration has been doing that for most of their term and it has come down.

So, again, what would you like people to do with this information?
