Hard to say whether I hope the second team's staggering turnover numbers came from QB's or RB's. If for example two of those were from Kaelin (not trying to pick on the guy), that'd be really understandable.

 
Yeah agreed. 

But I think the main point Matt Rhule was trying to advise the team - towards the "2's" - is that they need to play like "1's" and not be satisfied playing like a 2.  And also, to rewatch film and see if there are guys on the 3rd team that really should be with the 2's.  

I thought that was really wise to think about on both parts.

 
I had heard a lot of good things about Keona Davis but I'm guessing they want him to build into his frame a bit more before he plays?

 
Standard preface that half the stuff a coach says in these types of interviews is just that - coach speak.

But I like that he says that this year "we're going to attack, we're not going to play scared about what might go wrong." Our program really doesn't have much to lose anymore, does it?

No real reason to play conservatively when you finally have some offensive weapons. Go balls out and see what happens.

This quote was taken WAY out of context from what MR said. He said he was concerned simply because the starter is still working his way back from an injury and the other 2 kickers don’t have game experience at NU. He followed that up by saying that he is feeling good about what he is seeing in practice, i.e. all 3 are making a high percentage of their kicks in practice, and he feels good, but he still would feel better if he saw it in games.
