To be fair, we turned down a bowl invite in 2020

I think whoever protects their QB best next week wins.  Or whichever defense disrupts the opposing QB the most wins. That’s what it will come down to, unless one team makes ridiculous turnovers like  we did last year. Well executed football wins this game as it does most of the time.

I don’t think we should give up on dowdell yet. I agree that sending a message and not playing him this game is fine since we don’t seem to need him now. However, what I saw from him early seems promising. He needs to learn to hold on to the rock during contact. 

No one should be giving up on any player. Dowdell needs to sit more if he's fumbling. Based on what we saw today, he'll play a lot this year if he hangs onto the ball, and if he doesn't there are 3 other backs.
