I noticed that as well. You could sort of make out where it was on the field. Why it would need to be sloppily painted over for some games...? Odd.

That would be odd.

My guess was that there was some sort of prohibition against it.  Like Oklahoma State got told they couldn't put QR codes for their collective on their helmets.  But that doesn't fit the explanation offered.  Unless that is just the cover story and we never see it again.

 
The corporate thing confuses me, because Kentucky's field is named Kroger field and it's indeed named after the grocery chain.

I don't know that corporate is necessarily an issue.  But the NIL collective advertising was a no-no for Okie St.
