It’s incredible. Line was 30.5 and we win by 31.That some of you have a perpetual case of the grips.
and man, Vegas is good. How they set these lines and get so close
Man, I couldn’t disagree more. Northern Iowa has running backs bigger than most well face this year and has multiple ones, they’re run heavy, don’t over index and say our run d is a question. This team needs a lot of work. Especially the offense and apparently run D. They are gonna have to be grown men next week. I think this was a reality check. The Colorado hype rubbed off on them.
coaching and play calling has to be better on offense. The 2nd half offense has been pitiful.
lol, we gave up 3 points. Will gladly let Illinois “run it like UNI” lolWe have more work to do on defense. Tough to compare UNI and Illinois, but if I was Illinois I’d try to run it like UNI.
But what truly concerns Rhule is that Northern Iowa is a program that knows how to win. Recalling a conversation he had with former Oregon and Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly many years prior, Rhule said on Thursday that it’s preferable to play FBS teams that are used to losing than FCS programs with a standard of winning.
Northern Iowa is one such FCS program. The Panthers test themselves yearly against FBS opposition, having lost one-score games to Iowa State in 2019 and 2021 after defeating the Cyclones most recently in 2016.
Couldn’t agree more about #1. Nothing like posters openly pining for an offense that can go vanilla in the 2nd half behind a lead and strong defense only to b!^@h and complain when games come around that weren’t not trying to hang 50+ every week lol1. Posters continue to complain about the 2nd half when we get a lead rhule wants to run the ball & we play 2s & 3s.
2. We were missing 2 def. starters the first half which allowed them to run the ball some.
3. 7-0 is very possible.
We’re 3-0, some posters having flashbacks to mid 90s now, gonna have to ease em down softly somehow…
We were missing 2 starters the 1st. I thought we did a better job in the 3rd qtr. when Gbayer played.Man, I couldn’t disagree more. Northern Iowa has running backs bigger than most well face this year and has multiple ones, they’re run heavy, don’t over index and say our run d is a question.
if anyone needs a reality check it’s fans thinking we should be shutting every team out, we only gave up 3 today lol.
Yup, not Rhules style!Couldn’t agree more about #1. Nothing like posters openly pining for an offense that can go vanilla in the 2nd half behind a lead and strong defense only to b!^@h and complain when games come around that weren’t not trying to hang 50+ every week lol
When I lived in Iowa, I enjoyed following UNI. There always competitive and knocking off someone.People seem to forget that UNI is a solid, well-coached team.
