****Illinois Game Day Thread****

As much as this game is on the refs, 100%, the defense was nearly as much at fault. Do your freaking job and trust your teammate to do his. Coaches sort that s#!t out after the game. Tithe only reason they scored this much was due to coverage busts and that speaks to db coaching. This loss should have never been.

I think we were the superior team but our entire team and the coaches bought into the hype, unfortunately they found out the hype was just that...hype.  The missed calls were one thing, it's expected, we just do not get calls in the BIG and that is bulls#!t but it is known now, the coaches and players all s#!t the bed.  That's my opinion.

No I'm not.  He is young, but was not a high quality recruit!   Apparently you did not watch the 3 games, when were playing backs ups most of the 2nd half.

 
I can say emphatically that we’re a better team than last year. It’s unrealistic to expect it all at once. We got a dose of reality, but that’s ok. We will learn from it and get better. 
 

Tough loss.

That was an absolute masterclass on play calling by the Illini. 

 
The Colorado game and now this. I am so tired of this s hit. What are our options? Are there any legal actions we can take against the Big Ten? Or, if that's not realistic, how about a press conference? We could have the AD, or Coach Rhule, showing all of the missed calls from those two games; maybe going even back to last season. Demand an explanation.

Or, maybe we just let the dogs loose on the quarterback? Go high and low? Late hits? If we are going to get these calls against us, at least make them worth it. A message needs to be sent because I am tired of this s hit. I don't care how this sounds because I know the players must be fed up.

Exactly!  They put too much pressure on freshman qb with a leaky line.

LIke i said, get on Railoa, he's the Oline coach, he hasn't done jack squat and he recruited him. You should take his job, since you seem to be the oline whisperer.  Maybe you should tell our starters not to get hurt while you're at it.  Blame the one guy while the entire oline had us at 3rd and 42 then watched a guy run straight up the middle on 4th down.

Lol, you assume or can't read.   I.did not blame 1 player.  I just said Gunner is not good.  Really slow!

 
I'm going to add, f*ck everyone in the stadium tonight. Against Colorado, in a game that meant jack squat, you could feel through the TV, the intensity of memorial stadium, the power of nearly 100,000 fans in unison willing the team to victory, even in the 2nd half when the zebras turned against the Skers, you could feel memorial through the TV. Tonight, in a game that meant so much to our season goals, memorial wasn't just flat, she was dead. If you want to be the 12th man, you have to show up every game! Not just when it's easy. F' off season ticket holders and anyone in memorial tonight. You failed us as much as the coaches and coverage busts in the secondary. Oh and BTW. I don't care about your damn donations if you don't do your job on game day, you're as useless as the 5 star recruit with a 2 mil NIL package that rides the pine then transfers.

Stadium was loud tonight. Crowd participation was on point. You can’t expect the vitriol in the fan base that existed for Colorado against Illinois.  We hate one, not the other.

Then fans are dumb. We have had 0 reason to beat Colorado for 13 years. If in 13 years, fans can't figure out that this was a must win game, we need new fans.
