****Rutgers Game Day Thread****

Something's wrong with Raiola. He's just not as usual self. It's like maybe he's got the flu or something. Did his girlfriend break up with him?

Iowa playing Ohio State in a close one, 7-0 OSU.

But just as I turn it over there, Smith makes a ridiculous one-handed grab in the end zone for a TD.

Here's that catch. And he made it look easy.

I don't think we're going to beat Ohio State this year, guys.

He was in the pocket and there was no one remotely close
Yeah I just thought intentional grounding was, if it hit the ground, in bounds while you were in the pocket and no eligible receiver was in proximity.

I thought throwing it out of the field of play was fine. Guess I was wrong.

Ya, you can’t just wing it out of bounds if nobody is in the vicinity. That’s always been the case. Unless it wasn’t before 1990.

Gotta agree with this. Lutovsky is playing a good game. You know who else is having a sneaky quiet good game?

Gunnar Gottula. Haven't heard his name once again.

First half thoughts…

-Turnovers, penalties, and special teams miscues have kept this closer than it should be. Should be a three score game.

-I like the grinding run game. I’ll take 3-4 yards a pop.

-I don’t say this much…Oline is playing well, especially Lutovsky. He’s had a huge first half blocking and had at least two pancakes on that first quarter screen pass. His pulling and blocking in space on run plays has been outstanding, too.

-Gottula has been solid at LT too. I think he’s giving NU the best reps I’ve seen at left tackle since Teddy before his first knee injury.

-The defense’s ability to go get turnovers…wow. NU’s season-long turnover margin up to this point has a ton to do with where they’re at, record-wise.
