Should we fire Satterfield??

I'm not saying there isn't room for improvement.

But we were within 12 yards of the #6 offense in the country in yards per game.  Yes, our defense deserves credit as well but they have the #2 defense in the country.

We had more first downs than them, 18 to 11.

We had more time of possession than them, 35 to 25.

Despite all the "Satt wants to throw it 50 times per game" narrative we ran it 33 times and threw it 33 times.

And that's before you adjust anything for the penalty disparity.

We missed a wide open receiver that would have been a TD.

We did all that despite losing the field position battle all day.

Seems like that doesn't add up to be nearly as bad as many want to believe.

did you even watch the game today? some of the worst playcalling i've ever seen.

our yards per play was 4 vs OSU's 6. that's a massive difference.

our line dominated on both sides of the ball and everyone played lights out.

yet because of satt's horrific play calls the best we could do is get 17 points.

we did everything we needed to do to win that game except have a competent OC

The cope people still have for Satt is stunning.

“We had more first downs! We outscored them in the second half!”

Folks can moral victory and turd polish all they want. At the end of the day it’s another one score loss. Same crap. Different staff.

Ohio State completed two big plays to five-star receivers. They had about 40% of their yards and two TDs on those plays  Did I miss those guys that we have to throw to our our roster?

Yeah, there's a clear goal post-moving happening when it oscillates between "we should be running more" and "we should be calling passing plays in different ways than we are."

The staff is allowed to have one bad game. That one bad game was Indiana, and hopefully all involved just put it in the rear view mirror.

The Illinois game was winnable and we moved the chains well. We put up 397 yards on offense (when you net out sacks on Raiola). We then missed an extremely makeable field goal in that game that would have put us up by 3.

If we played Ohio State 5 times this year I'm pretty sure we go 0-5 against them.

I really think it all comes down to these last four games. Move the chains and gain some power in the red zone. No excuses, just f****** figure out a way to win 2 out of the last 4. That will be improvement for the staff & the program for me without any question.

he should have never been hired in the first place. OSU is paying chip kelly slightly more. a guy who essentially invented modern football and has decades of experience at OC.

I'm sure OSU fans are absolutely thrilled right now to score 21 points at home vs an unranked team with the insane weapons they have on offense.

Or pass once when you start in the redzone, Or use the end around that has got you yards and scores all season long, or a PA off of that...

Funny.  People usually throw a fit when we pass in the red zone.  I guess people just can't win.

I mean, run plays that work instead of ones that historically haven't, right? Or PA off of one of your known tendencies. Weird concept, I know.
