Should we fire Satterfield??

You don't need outside eyes to tell you there's a big problem. There's no emotion knowing that after 1.75 season we are not capable of scoring more than 21 points against any power 4/5 teams (include bottom of the barrel ones) when we've had vastly different talent levels. The season is pretty much over at this point. The odds of winning one more game are very slim and there's really nothing left to loose making a change right now. Infact it would give the next man up a good head start with the bye week. A high profile leader would understand that. Also a high profile leader would know why he brought in a Co OC...
So, what you are saying then, is Rhule does know there is a problem, and he is taking steps to remedy the situation.  Just because he doesn't do it with pitchforks and torches doesn't mean it isn't happening.  Which was my point.

I don't agree at all.  That was a comment directed at a team to take some ownership in the issues, and as have been discussed there is plenty of fault to go around.

You can't take plays off and then blame the OC.  That is the crap that happened, right or wrong to the 07 defense with Cosgrove.  They basically said screw it, Cosgrove sucks, why should I play hard.  And the whole thing fell apart.
You can see it in some of the players already.  If I'm Barney I'm probably looking to pull a Wandale and get out of here.

No. He doesn't have the guts to make the decision that needs to be made right now. The longer this is drawn out the worse it is for the team, the fanbase, and Rhule. It's pretty obvious what needs to happen. Today was the day to do it for so many obvious reasons.

Some of you'all are so far in the Fire Satt mindset you can't see the forest from the trees.

Rhule was about as direct as he could be without coming out and saying that Satt was on the hotseat.  He just isn't going to make an emotional decision and is bringing in an outside perspective to help make the decision.

Those of us that are in high profile leadership roles understand exactly what is happening here.  He is owning the problem, bringing in help to take the emotion out of it, and determining the next steps.

But, you guys keep on going and Fire everyone!!!!

And I know no one will do it, but go watch the entire PC and not just read the hot takes.
Since Colorado we rank anywhere from 118-129th in almost every meaningful offensive category on offense. If we can’t see the forest from the trees you must be in a desert and can’t see a damn thing

As someone in a leadership role this comment should not be made public.

End of day these are 18-22 year olds not some corporation.

This is you knowing the problem and passing the buck so you don’t have to fix said problem.

If you’ve ever wondered why teams hire so many analysts, this is mostly what they do^. Self scouting.

If a team gets noticeably worse as the year goes on, there’s things on film that the defense is picking up on too easily. Tendencies, alignment, even the ways players are standing are tipping off opposing defenses.

I don’t have any issue with Rhule bringing outside help to fix it - that shows he understands the issue. My only concern is this was a noted problem for him on the Panthers as well.

What are you expecting us to gain by firing people today? There is no one good available to just jump in and completely revamp an offense, so you're just promoting a position coach/analyst and I can't say I've been blown away by any of those coaches either.

Rhule has put a lot of blame upon himself for the problems and he has taken responsability for fixing it.  He's said that many times publically.

But, these 18-22 year old guys aren't just college kids playing a game.  They are being paid too to do what it takes to win games.

The OC is getting paid a lot more than them to put them in position to win games.

Our offense is literally the definition of insanity. But yeah it’s all on the players. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Glenn Thomas should be given the reins. Below is his track record, 2 of the stops were with Rhule and far surpasses anything brain dead satt has ever accomplished.

On satt- has no rhythm. We get things rolling and he thinks it’s a great time to trot out heinrich for a trick play.  The book has been out for 5 weeks on how to stop the offense- you simply blitz up the middle and press the receivers with little to no safety help and we look completely lost on now to respond.  We are now worst offensively than we were last year at this time in conference play.  Satt not only has questionable strategy but has show zero capability to make adjustments.

Glenn Thomas:

ARIZONA STATE:. He oversaw a rushing attack that saw Xavier Valladay notch the 10th-best rushing mark in school history with 1,192 yards and 16 touchdowns. Additionally, under Thomas’ tutelage, quarterbacks Trenton Bourget broke the ASU record for single-season completion percentage at 71.4 percent.

BAYLOR: Thomas was the co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Baylor from 2017 to 2019, assisting in transforming the program. In 2019 the Bears went 11-2 with a No. 7 ranking and a Sugar Bowl appearance. During Thomas’ three years in Waco, quarterback Charlie Brewer developed into one of the top quarterbacks in school history, throwing 69 touchdowns in three seasons and being named a semifinalist for the 2019 Davey O’Brien Award.

TEMPLE: Thomas worked with Rhule at Temple in 2015 and 2016. In two years with the Owls, one as quarterbacks coach and the second as offensive coordinator, Thomas helped the program post the school’s first back-to-back 10-win seasons and bowl berths and capture the 2016 American Athletic Conference title. The 2016 offense averaged 413.6 yards and 32.4 points per game under Thomas’ direction. As quarterbacks coach in 2015, Thomas mentored junior QB P.J. Walker, who threw for 3,295 yards and 22 touchdowns

I agree with you.  It's not as if the UCLA game was a one-time issue for the offense.  We have seen systemic issues since Satterfield took over last season.  The entire offense is completely out of sync.  The line is not blocking.  The QB is struggling.  WRs are not getting open nor are they blocking well.  We have zero offensive identity.

Someone else mentioned it earlier, but my major issue is that we appear to be getting worse every game as the season progresses. That is 100% on these coaches and it is unacceptable.

I can’t believe it’s taken almost 60 pages of comments to answer the very simple question posed by this topic. The answer is yes.
