2024-2025 College Football Playoff

Yep I saw that. Beamer has been trending on X.  He made a total a$$ of himself early on and Bret then taunted him.
From what I read on the Reddit, Bert was subbing late, and multiple times a play, but the refs were still holding the snap instead of letting SC run their playa like they should have. Beamer should have adjusted and ran his guys in sooner, but Bert should have been called for delay of game as well, and for taunting. What kind of a$$h@!e taunts the other team when your own player is supposedly injured. He's always been a massive douchebag in every possible sense of the words.

That he is, but just like Dylan's "late" slide in our bowl game.  Those are the rules, might as well use them to your advantage, and force the powers that be to fix the stupid rules.

Except you don't get multiple delayed subs on the same play, and you are only allowed 3 seconds to react to the offense substitutions. After that the refs should put the ball in play.

I hate Bert, but that was hilarious!!  I was laughing so hard I was crying!  I went to church.  Anything at the handshake??

Surprisingly the handshake was normal.  I don't love Bret but you have to acknowledge he is a great coach.  He has Illinois positioned to make the CFP next year as they have more returning players than just about any other P5 team.  Also, Beamer is a douche and was whining early in the game when the broadcast asked him questions in quarter 1.  I have little respect for Shane as a coach.

We are just a couple years into the NIL era and it appears the BIG may be the big winner of this new era while the SEC is the big loser. The BIG teams are far more competitive and well rounded against all conferences and it makes you wonder just how much money was being paid to SEC players under the rug prior to NIL. :)

Yeah, it is a d!(k move, but it is legal. Not the first time I have seen an offense sub a little late and the defense slow trots out some big boys. The subbed out player makes it to the sideline before the subbed in big boys miraculously finds out he is in and takes his sweet time getting across from the center. Usually it only goes so far as to let the offense have a few seconds to snap it and then the offense decides whether they need a timeout.

Which makes it even funnier hearing the Alabama AD crying that other programs are laying more for players.

I'll take

Boise +11

ASU +12.5

Ohio St -2.5

ND +1.5

If you want to get really spicy, I would take ASU straight up on the money line.
