I was rooting for 3 of 4 being B1G teams. I can’t stand Notre Dame. Pretty arrogant, obnoxious fans I know that seem to be the prevalent attitude among the majority. And F Texas. 2009 Big12 CCG. 1 second back on the clock.

I’d be ok with OSU. But PSU winning it all might help OSU lose some of that luster with recruits. And that might help us down the road.

As hard as this is for me to stomach, hope Notre Dame wins but does so in completely unimpressive fashion. Have hated them since Lou Holtz referred to MN as "fly-over land" when he left. 

PSU: f#&% you pedophiles. After what happened there with Sandusky and Paterno knowing what had happened and covered it up, they should never win anything other than "most often tagged on the neighbourhood sex offender watch list". 

OSU: their fans are just the worst. 

Texas: there are so many reasons it is hard to count them all. However I'll leave this juicy bit that multiple UT fans pointed out to me when I lived there (as embarrassing as this is that they were proud of this):

In a space where newcomers are typically obnoxious, annoying, grating, or all three (Lincoln Riley, PJ Fleck, Ryan Day), Marcus Freeman is humble, down-to- earth and easy to root for. Even if he is with ND. 

It's a new version of Catholics vs Convicts. 

As much as it is against the Husker way, Texas is the closest team to what the Huskers are and hope to be.. So, Hook 'Em. 

 
Not Texas, they skated by through the SEC with a weak schedule and were bailed out against ASU in the playoff game when they were outplayed.  I think it's probably Notre Dame for me but I wouldn't mind Penn State either for someone new.  I wonder if Ryan Day's job is safe after beating Oregon?  I do hope tOSU clobbers the Longhorns.

OSU. Why would we want another conference to win the NC. 

You don't have to like them, but at least pull for one of the B1G teams. As long as a B1G team wins, it's all good.

Fans cannot be counted on to be rational, and are stupid.  It was the admin at that time who should've all been fired.  I don't think punishing anyone who comes after those who committed crimes accomplishes anything, which is the message I got above.

A very different take:

If OSU wins, that would get them to 9 championships. This gives the Big Ten the Huskers with 5, Minnesota with 6, OSU & USC with 9, Michigan with 10. That leaves Harvard (8), Notre Dame (13), Princeton (15) and Bama (16). Big Ten looks like by far the most historically dominant conference. They are annoying, but they’re “our” annoying.

ND - It would be great to see Bama lose the top spot on the all time championship list before I die. Here’s to hoping it’s a big ten school, but ND is at least a psudeo Big10 school. I do think they should have to play in a conference to get in, and I think that conference should be the Big 10.
 

The following teams I’ll never root for regardless if it helps the Huskers or not:

5. Miami, FL - if you’re a real Huskers fan, you get it.
4. BYU - This one is personal.

3. Texas - horns all the way down until they eat rotten, maggot infested fish heads to stay alive. 
2. Also Texas, but in Burnt Orange (seriously - who color matches old dried blood, rusty metal, burnt food residue, some insect exoskeletons, certain types of bodily discharge (seek help if this happens), or overripe and overhyped fruit with damaged skin?)

I hope the southern teams stay strong. But, there needs to be a balance…..and it should include west coast teams too.
