Trump’s Accomplishments…at levels never seen before (2025 version)

Nobody has ever illegally fired so many independent inspector generals in a late night purge.  You know those guys tasked with finding fraud and abuse and overseeing Trump's appointees.

But democracy is doing just fine.

Typical lib hyperbole.

Fortunately the ADULTS like Pete Hegseth are in charge of things. As soon as he puts down his drink and stops sexually assaulting women and having kids out of wedlock, they're going to make liberals like you drink your own tears (unless those tears have some measure of alcohol in them, in which case Pete Hegseth will drink them without your consent).

Put aside the 30 notice before firing IG’s, which Trump should be abiding by, people having a sad about those IG’s being fired who are supposed to find waste fraud abuse were fired from places like DOD who……….hasn’t passed an audit in however many years and pretty much most here agree there is a whole bunch of unchecked…yep you guessed it, waste fraud and abuse.   Wonder what the hell those IG’s were even doing?!?!??

Well, we did just get done with Lloyd Austin.    It really sure how much worse it can get.  He had horrible 2022,2023 recruitment numbers and only hit the 2024 numbers because the goal was reduced so much compared to previous years.   The dude was bad, but going under the knife and not even letting anyone know is…..well…….not very ADULTish.

I'm sure MAGA would have been just fine if Biden or Obama unprecedentedly fired over a dozen independent inspector generals in the middle of the night illegally with the intent of installing cronies to oversee their appointees.

No other president has throttled our health agencies in such a bigley manner as the guy who thinks if you water annual plants forever they'll never die and dry up. Science smience.  Who needs it?

https://www.cnn.com/2025/01/24/health/nih-scientists-purchase-supplies-trump-administration-pauses-communications/index.html

"Scientists at the National Institutes of Health have been told the communications pause announced by the Trump Administration earlier this week includes a pause on all purchasing, including supplies for their ongoing studies, according to four sources inside the agency with knowledge of the purchasing hold.

The supply crunch follows a directive first issued on Tuesday by the acting director of the Department of Health and Human Services, which placed a moratorium on the release of any public communication"

Yes, the Hegseth is going to improve recruitment numbers by allowing a frat guy drinking lifestyle and being a shining example that they can commit sexual assault while married with near impunity.

By near impunity I mean simply be willing to pay lawsuits.

In all seriousness, if the American public wants to take disease seriously, they would've voted differently.

If people die preventable deaths the public needs to elect better people. "Egg price go up" made people vote for morons, so they're going to have to suffer moron results.

Unfortunately it’s one of those areas where people are doing thankless work and helping the public, even the stupid people, but a lot of the public is unaware of it. And when there are more preventable deaths from diseases it will be blamed on something else and people will believe it because they’re stupid.

I don’t know if he will or won’t be good.  We DO KNOW the last ADULT wasn’t good though.  Thanks Joe.

And we are certain the NIH can’t order supplies??  No chance this is some anonymous butt hurt scientists trying to use this as an opportunity to hurt the incoming administration?   Wouldn’t we want some confirmation first?

I think you can appropriately judge a person based on their history and conclude that Hegseth is out of his depth in a sidewalk puddle.

But the American people wanted morons and cranks in charge, and they deserve moron and crank leadership.

The only shame I feel it's that Trump will inevitably run into legal issues that prevent him from enacting all of his extremely unpopular agenda items - I believe the American public deserves to face the brunt of it. Collective stupidity has consequences and America deserves to face them.

I believe the IGs primary task is supposed to be watchdogs to identify breaking the law and otherwise abusing the general tax paying public. I suppose that would include fraud and possibly as an extension of that, wasteful spending. But let’s not pretend this was about wasteful spending. Everyone here, and you, should know better. This was strictly about removing more guardrails and impediments to whatever the hell Trump wants to do.
