New ST Coach Mike Ekeler

Ekeler, as I recall, was felt to be an excellent recruiter when he was @ NU (I seem to remember this too when he was at OU). I wonder if Rhule truly is going to keep him off the recruiting trail as he alluded to prior to the hire or if he is going to give him the rural Nebraska beat that Foley had?

Not trying to get something started, but did Ekeler suggest we need to get better guys?  Or is he giving a shoutout to 2 guys he coached who went to the league?

He’s promoting himself as the guy whom coached 2 NFL dudes when he was here previously.  One guy is a HOF NFL player and the other runs a multimedia empire. 

He should do that. 
nearly anything will be better than the absolute SH!T show we’ve had on ST the last half decade, by better coaching and some decent focus, if Rhule gives him the time in practice, we will be remarkably better on ST, which could help win us the mythical 9-10 games. 

Also, if he is saying we need better players, great. Dana did that and we improved pretty quick on offense once he called out bad play. 
 

maybe, and this is me spitballing, Ekeler finds a couple rough diamonds that show their worth on ST, dudes who can perform and make plays should see the field more and if their chance is by ST first, they’ll get more shots on the field.  Seems like there may be a couple guys who should play more but don’t, he could make them believe in showing casing their ST prowess to gain access to the 1st or 2nd team. 

This is such obvious need for this team. He fills that need and can hopefully find the guys who can play ball and earn some stripes.
