the perception of reverse discrimination seems to be what MAGA is clinging to with a death grip IMO.    but that little blurb about that seems to be heavily outweighed by the rest of that

Quite honestly I have not seen that.  Could you provide a link please so I know what you are referring to.   I would have to see what exact language you are referring to because in general if a private company followed the law in its hiring practices and avoided discrimination then they should be able to spend as much money as they choose on DEI stuff without the government getting involved.
