****Nebrasketball @ Washington****

Hoiberg said he chewed some a$$ at halftime.  Our def. Effort in the first was not good!
If Washington didn't start with 100% shooting on their 3 pointers for the first 9 or 10, it would be a different narrative.  They made quite a few of those with a defender in their face- not much you can do.  That said, they did come out of halftime with a higher effort level.

In the post interview, hoiberg blamed it on  def. Effort. He said it was poor.

Tis a bad time in my life for the conference to expand westward.
same.    i remember a husker football game in hawaii when i was in jr. high...around 1975 or so.   it started very late at night....i think midnight.  i begged mom and dad to let me stay up and listen to it.  i got permission and listened to the whole game.   now 10 pm hits and it's light out for me.

Don't you guys have a DVR? I recorded it in case I fell asleep but some how I managed to stay awake. Great 2nd half, Brice again played teriffic. Juan set most of the firt half with fouls but he also got going in the second half.

When Brice and Juwan graduate I don't know who will score? We better have a great portal year or it is going to be very tough.

Let's start out with great D against Ohio State at home this weekend.

We have a good core, we need a good point guard & a tough pf or C. Hopefully Berke & Griffith finds their stroke from 3.

I would be stunned if Griffith is still in the 402 next season.

the good core you speak of is mast, Berke, essegian, hoiberg, Jacobsen…

with janowski and frager coming off redshirts.  So, make no mistake…this will be an entirely new roster next season. Of the six I listed as the “core” you speak of…only 5 scholarship guys.  So 8 to fill at minimum.

Fred and co will have their work cut out for them this offseason, but it will at least allow them to reshape the roster…

By my calculations they will have six scholarships available (seven if Griffiths doesn't come back).

Berke, Mast, Essegian, Frager, Janowski will be returning + they signed Rhymes in November.  That's six on scholarship.  If Griffiths comes back (I agree that is unlikely) that would leave six for new players.

Agreed 👍

i would be surprised if all come back.  I’d say mast, essegian and hoiberg are the only guarantees…or close to guarantees
