Cost of Firing Bill Callahan

Five-Star Recruit
I recently read an article that explained the economics of firing the HC. According to BC's contract, it will cost NU athletic dept $62,500 / month till 2012 ... or $750,000 / yr for 5 yrs.

My question - is there 100,000 Big Red Fans willing to donate $7.50 per year for 5 year to fire Callahan?

Would YOU be willing to pledge this? :)

I doubt that this would sway TO's decision one way or the other, but it puts a different light on the "economics" of the change!

Its only 4 years and a total of 3 million. There is a Husker fan in Omaha who makes 3 million a month before he even gets out of bed.

yeah, you know, i always wondered why Warren Buffet never shelled out big bucks like T Boone Pickens did for OSU? guess he is not an alumni or a big football guy, but damn, doesn't make that much sense to leave it all to that damn Bill Gates when he checks out??

He could if he would quit giving out those free chocolates at his candy stores.

The money to take care of Callahan's contract does not come out of the athletic department. There is a foundation set up to take care of Husker football and their pockets run very deep. So keep your change :)

I heard after TO was hired that WB did put up the money to finish the pay outs for the coaches and the money needed for the construction costs. Thats what my friends back in Lincoln have told me.

GBR!!!

I'm with you Hunter. :thumbs

There was a website somewhere that you could down load this "ticket" if you will and send it in along with $5 to Perlman to help buyout Pederson and Callahan but I can't remember where it was now.
