The Husker Games - April 26th (Spring Game Replacement)

I disagree with @teachercd a fair amount, but he's spot on here.  Rhule screwed this up.

So.... he doesn't want to put stuff on tape so kids won't get poached, but he also does.  Dude is massively overthinking this.  If he had offseason timeouts, they'd already be gone.
Knowing a kid is going to leave, because they won't ever see the field, and giving them some tape to help them find a new home is radically different than broadcasting everything to the world and giving other schools a reason to tamper with guys you plan on keeping.

I get this idea… But no coach for a power five School is watching 15 minutes of a spring game and seeing a guy run for 8 yards and thinking “oh my God we have to offer him $1 million start tampering”

Oh my gosh, you didn’t have to say it like that… That’s like how my mom gives compliments… The first half is ripping on me and the second half is a minor compliment

There was zero good reason to cancel the spring game.  At best, Rhule gave a flimsy reason to maybe change the date of the spring game.

People are going to tamper regardless.  The spring game is for fans, particularly ones who can't attend regular games. Hold the spring game after the portal closes if you want, that's been said. Simple.

I mean, people with direct experience here have stated otherwise. I'm sure it's not the only thing they look at, but it's still a thing.

Is there a time coming, where the recruits will be signing a contract, that keeps them from transferring for at least maybe two years or longer. The schools need some kind of assurance, when recruiting.

Maybe we can get ack our spring game again, if that happens.

GBR!!!
