I'm glad he got drafted, and surprised, but not shockingly so. I've still got a lot of skepticism that he'll ever be a meaningful piece or last long, but as with all Huskers I'm rooting for him.

I know folks say "stars don't matter" and possibly "NFL talent doesn't matter", but it seems like teams that are in the hunt for the playoffs and NC have some top tier talent in stars and getting guys to the NFL.(Clemson did bad this year in the draft)  I agree with you that our lack of guys getting talked about and going in the early rounds is sad.  Also lets me know that, at least for me, I view talent now through the eyes of a Nebraska fan that has forgotten what it means to be the most dominate program in the FBS.  I see a guy like Ty and think dude is killing it....And then goes in the 4th round (after testing very high).  Same with guys in the past I thought would make it.  Westerkamp and JoJo to name more recent guys.  World beaters for us, but not so much at the next level. Hope that starts to change.
