The Democrat Utopia

I’m not b!^@hing about them not paying any federal tax money.   I’m correctly pointing out to the people incessantly whining, that those people don’t get federal income tax relief when a tax cut bill happens………..because they don’t pay federal income tax after the deductions.

I’m seem to be okay with work requirements for able bodied Medicaid and snap benefits.

Wait what?????? There are actual citizens as worthy as me in this world???  Are you kidding me.   Who would have thought 🙄
I’m also okay with work requirements for able bodied to receive Snap and Medicaid benefits. But I find it hard to believe the only cuts in those areas will be for the able bodied who refuse to work. I also don’t have any problem assuring non-citizens don’t get any government benefits.

I just wonder why the CBO projects that the costs for the 1st decile will increase $1600 per year if those are the only two groups who will be excluded from benefits. Seems odd and therefore questionable.

Exhibit Number One of a guy…

That can’t be depended upon to help preserve democracy.

That doesn’t understand the Constitutional right to protest.

Who has about zero knowledge of history.

That won’t begin to see it coming, by his own choice.

That is basically worse than useless as a US citizen.

What did No Kings Day prove?

I don't know. In a world of optics it demonstrated that millions of people were willing to go out of their houses and express their opposition to the President and his policies, timed against Trump's competing optics of an autocrat presiding over a military parade.

One drew exponentially more people across states and localities both red and blue.

If you're frustrated by the normalization of jaw-dropping incompetence, corruption, and cruelty it is kinda nice to see you're not alone. You may actually be in a growing majority. Those optics and numbers may help our lawmakers grow a spine, or inspire others to run against them.

I know one of our most prolific posters considers all protestors lame, but sometimes it does feel good to care about something.

The “no kings” protests showed more American Patriotism and love of the American idea than the military parade…

It also, in normals times when politicians weren't afraid of being slaughtered by MAGA in their own homes, would have been a sign to swing district Republicans in Congress to grow a set and take back at least a modicum of their constitutional powers.
