Israel - Iran War

Israel bombed Iran with the intention of destroying their nuclear ambitions but they've done so knowing full well they don't have the weaponry necessary to destroy the remnants that exist in the mountains. 

The United States does have that ability, which leads me to believe that Israel planned on assistance from the US prior to striking OR they just know Trump is an unmitigated moron they can manipulate into helping them after striking OR they started to strike Iran knowing they'd never achieve their military mission. 

What a cluster.

 
Question for those who know more about this than me.

What does it mean that the tankers are "towing fighter aircraft"?  I'm assuming they are just flying with them to refuel them when needed, correct?

You are correct. 

The ANG base here in Lincoln flies KC135 refuelers. We see them doing touch-and-goes all the time, and once in a while we'll see the trainer planes tagging along to practice in-air refueling as they leave.

OK.... the other day I saw something I had never seen before.  It was a tanker flying over with another tanker looking like it was refueling.  The planes were the same size.  They probably were from Lincoln.  

It was interesting to see.
