Rhule does this as well, but Fleck loves to talk up opponents. Makes it into a bigger deal when you beat them, and you have a built in excuse if you lose (I told you that was a good team" etc).

I do not care about his opinion on our team, and I don't believe the compliments are genuine. He just picked the team/fanbase who will latch onto this and make it a story. And he'll bring these comments up again after the game to either gloat or claim he was ahead of everyone else in recognizing how good we'd be.

I hope NU is never 6-0 in bowl games. Bowl games are for dorks.

Playoffs are all that matters.
 
I don't care for many aspects about Fleck but I think he's a good coach. I think it's teams like Minnesota & Iowa that we need to start beating in order to get back to the CCG.

Plus "Row the Boat" guy has been scheduling interviews and trying to leave there for years and still winning. He's been a thorn in the side and you really have to get ahead of that team because their game plan is to always shorten the game and reduce possessions.

That is what all the minor league programs have to do...they are all trying to not lose instead of trying to win. It is what they have to do to have any chance at all, I totally get it.

I have coached teams where we did that too.

I guess I'm not big on talking down on a team that has kicked Nebraska's rear end all over the field recently. Plus it's a Friday road game this year. It will not be an easy game.
