2025 Fall Camp Pressers

Not sure about all HS"s but I know at mine...we are strongly encourage to cut, in sports that have cuts, all seniors that will not contribute. Guys that will be seniors and basically ride the bench.
That’s why I like smaller HS sports. If a kid wants to be in the team, he or she is on the team. And, at our level, C1, pretty much all seniors are going to be playing and contributing something. At this level, I really don’t care about having the greatest team all class. I just want the kids in the community having fun going and competing with other communities…and then walking away having those memories. Sometimes the dream class or two come together and you have something special.

I used to live around the biggest HS in Iowa (West Des Moines Valley. I employed some kids from there. One day they were talking about how great their school was because they offered so many activities. I started asking how many they took part in. It was very few. That’s because to be in a team, or in the band, or orchestra, or in the school play, you had to try out and be really good to even be a part of it.

My nieces went to a large school outside Philly. They loved soccer, but weren’t good enough for the HS team, so they weren’t on the team.

My school has a few teams that are amazing and by the end of 9th grade there are a lot of students that realize the dream of playing HS sports are done.
