2025 Fall Camp Notes - Offensive Line

Lutovsky working at LG

Was always odd that he was getting work at RT.

Take this for what you will, however seeing more than 1 projected depth chart with Pritchett listed as 2nd team or at RT 1ST team. Seems odd and, were this true, could lead to early departure. My understanding was he was leaving Bama because he sees himself as LT in the NFL.

Curious if anyone closer is seeing reps or projection that would refute this?

GO BIG RED!!!!!!!

I thought the coaches had initially said he would be at RT, but changed their tune after we couldn't land any other Tackles like Shiyazh Pete or Fa'alili Fa'amoe. They've been consistent about calling him a left tackle since the spring though. Some people just jumped on a report that we wasn't in the first group (or on the left side) in the very brief part of practice where media was allowed on the first day of camp. But every time the coaches have talked about RT it's been as a position battle without Pritchett in it, and LT is not being talked about as a battle. Pretty sure he's the starting LT against Cincy barring anything crazy.

Source from the scrimmage says the LT battle is not as close as Rhule is making it out to be. Pritchett should be the starter.

While I think there is legitimate competition, perhaps all the talk of this "battle" is to keep Gottula from transferring?

That could be part of it. But it's interesting that they've made quite the deal of the battle at both tackle spots but have basically conceded that the three interior positions are settled. You'd think they'd be playing it up at all spots.

It is probably less about Gunner and more about Pritch.

Rhule is sort of one of those (sometimes lame) old school coaches that has a hard time giving praise to "the new guy" or "the transfer"

Bo was sort of that way, he used to tell everyone how many plays Lavonte David missed after a game when David had 14 tackles a sack, a FF and a pick.
