Freaky. Freaky because so much good stuff was predicted over the past several years, game by game, season after season. We Husker fans, many of us I'd suspect, are.... kind of numb. We keep hashing out reasons for things to go well... speaking for myself only, honestly I can't go there anymore. Not that I believe otherwise, not contradicting the experts. I'm just kind of numb to all this predicting. I do think I see 6 wins I guess. Hell I'm confused.

Making our first bowl game in years is not rock bottom. Hell, most fans were happy with last season because it felt like progress. Convenient to leave the bowl game out of the discussion. We won 2 of our last 3. The 4 games we lost prior to that were by a combined 22 points. The Indiana game was a turning point imo.

I'm a Pirates and Browns fan as well. I deserve no pity I chose this fate (also I root for the Penguins so 2009-2020 wasn't that bad.)

I think it's the combination of Raiola, Holgo, and Rhule's track record. Everything seems to be in place for a breakout season, and really, it is, but they need to execute.

Thursday is the perfect test game. Cincinnati is not Georgia or Ohio State, sure, but they're not the Poor Sisters of Mercy. This is a respectable team. A dominating performance for Nebraska, and I think the dam breaks open on the hype. A loss, it'll fade quickly.

I"m getting very nervous for this game. It actually feels good. It's how I used to feel before every game because I knew we had what it took to win, the team just needed to go out and execute. My wife would get upset because I would pound about 3 beers within 10 minutes of kickoff because I was wound up so much.

I don't know if I've ever witnessed you be so optimistic...what is happening? lol. Don't you let him down skers.
