Akron Post-Game Pressers

On one of the podcasts I listened to last week they were speculating about the score and were guessing we might not cover the spread (~35.5) since HCMRh wasn't they type to run the score up on a hapless opponent. This statement kind of puts that theory to rest.

Felt sorry for Akron (not very) but damn it was good to finally see a Husker team actually destroy a team they were suppose to destroy. So many times since the days of TO we've seen NU go into games like this, fiddle fart around and win but in a very unsatisfying way.

I typically don’t like these games and wish all power 4 teams would schedule all quality opponents in the OOC schedule.

But, I’m so happy that we took care of business like we did on Saturday and hope they do it again this week.

If we do, our team should be confident, healthy and focused going into the Michigan game.

It has been very frustrating getting through the OOC without a perfect record and wondering if the team will figure things out.

It’s no indication we are going to breeze through the conference, but it sure feels better.

I don't necessarily mind a couple pud games to start the season due to the fact that college football doesn't have a preseason like the pros do. Put the backups in and run your system like you normally would (no taking it easy on the punching bag team) - they need to get experience with it in a game situation.

Probably a pseudo-'leak'. If it were an actual leak, he probably wouldn't be bleeped.
