Michigan Week Pressers

We are ranked 15th in rush defense in the Big 10. That's not going to cut it moving forward especially if a team like Michigan or Penn State decide that they want to run the ball the whole entire game(yes a few passes to keep the defense honest) but that's just going to wear down the defense bc we lack size in the middle. Opposing teams are averaging 136 yards against us with an average of 4 yards per carry. I hope Nebraska's game plan is to force Bryce Underwood into forcing passes into area's that our defenders can make a play on the ball.

And how many passing yards are they averaging? Cincy and HCU both had basically one big run, but for most of the game our defense buckled down and made them earn all those rushing yards, and completly shot down the air. HCUs big run was against our backups. We had one bad defensive possession against Akron before half and the defense still pitched a shutout. Cincy's QB was their only life in the run game.

I think we're better than we as fans realize. The weak teams have only score 7 points total on us, and we held Cincinnati to only 17 points which is good for any P4 team. I'm still extremely cautious with my optimism, but I think we're better than we want to give credit for on defense.
