This article shows just how poor our performance was against Minny. From what we allowed to what we refused to do. If Rhule stays, dude needs to hire legit coaches who know the B1G and get some dudes in the portal. And can the 3-3-5. This isn’t the Big 12 or ACC. And it ran well with Ty and Nash, but year 3 and no replacements…. Those guys don’t grow on trees.

The most startling stats from this article are the sacks given up. Nearly the majority of Michigan state and Michigan’s season sack totals came from their game against us- Minnesota just broke their school record with 9.

The conference stats on Rhule are also eye opening. Can’t say I’m surprised, dude has created a walking contradiction with his team when he preaches “I wanna run the ball, grind teams down and win on defense” yet we’re airing it out and only handing the ball off to EJ twice on first downs for an entire game.

The Minnesota game was definitely 2 steps backwards. Very disappointing. Fleck is a good coach who has our number but he's no Saban. He shouldn't be owning us like he has.

I'm gonna stay as optimistic as I can. We're on track to go to a bowl game & finish with a winning record for the 2nd season in a row. It's imperative we show SOME progress this year.

Unless our O-Line play does a complete180 the rest of the year it'll be interesting to see what Rhule does to address that. The deficiency there is glaring to all.

Not to mention a line that cant pass protect for a pocket passer that cant/wont run.. nothing like trying to pound a round block into a square hole

Yep. The whole 150 yards rushing in the 4th and body blows….. Biased, but feel we are some of the most knowledgeable fans in football. We know what the hell a power run game looks like. And by and by most Nebraskans are a plain speak people. Mean what you say and say what you mean. Same crap with Dana. “Wish we’d run like that the past 2 weeks”. And then run EJ 14 times while Dylan gets trucked on 25% of his passes. Not hurried, but laid out.

Donovan should be fired immediately. I get the Raiola complexity but come on. You want to talk about "the standard"? What the hell kind of standard are you setting in letting the worst OL performance EVER for a nebraska squad persist!?

Its an unspoken standard that your last name is more important than results. Nepotism in a professional setting is rarely a good thing and it rings true in our case.

IF there's anything that Rhule could do to save the season and alter the trajectory of this team it's pulling a Jimmy Johnson and cutting out (sub) mediocrity immediately.

Stats not needed for The Obvious, to me: After laying an egg in the whole first half we did not recover in the second half. It was that second half and more so the anemic 4th quarter that told me the coaches had lost the players and remained at a loss themselves. Good coaches adjust. Great players after a bad half find themselves and show us that they have.

This was not "just one bad game." It had the look of a truth about Nebraska football. When pondering our season thus far, think about a pretty good but over rated boxer in the 6th or 7th round. He’s given it all he’s got. Now he’s going to be punched silly for the rest of the fight.
