Northwestern Game Preview

I'm actually hearing that boosters at PSU are pushing for Joe Brady (OC for the Bills) to be the next coach.

I seriously don't think Matt is going to PSU.
How funny would that be. Same OC Rhule fired at the Panthers gets his dream gig. Word of caution for those high on Brady (I think he has potential) is that it’s easier to look good with that LSU roster and Josh Allen as your QB in Buffalo. With talent, he’s an amazing OC.

11:00AM CDT
Northwestern at Huskers(-7) ..... FS1
UCLA at Indiana(-25.5) ..... FOX
Rutgers(-2.5) at Purdue ..... BTN
2:30PM CDT
Minnesota at Iowa(-8.5) ..... CBS/Paramount+ ..... (Yearly Rival)
Illinois at Washington(-4.5) ..... BTN
6:00PM CDT
Wisconsin at Oregon(-33.5) ..... FS1
6:30PM CDT
Michigan(-14.5) at Michigan State ..... NBC/Peacock ..... (Yearly Rival)

Bye week: Terps, Buckeyes, PSU and USC

BTW, I don't like both Rodents and Ditch Chickens.
Anyway, 2:30PM CDT -- Minnesota at Iowa(-8.5). I hope Minny will win ..... though unlikely

Forecast October 25 results, Huskers or NW and Iowa or Minnesota victories qualified bowls. All four teams 5W-2L record before October 25.

I got 4 (really nice) free tickets for the game tomorrow. And pretty much no one is all that interested in going.

Rhule is sucking the life out of the fan base.

7 points seems high on the spread yet again. NW matches up pretty well with us, so this is a toss up IMO.

I believe we have yet to cover the spread against a P4 team in 5 tries this year.

Isn't it the same spot as last year?

There is a good chance my "friends" just don't like me.
Same record but the team and schedule are very different. Last year after our bad game, we had to go to #1 Ohio State. This year we get Northwestern at home. They are a solid team but big difference imo. I think we move to 6-2 after tomorrow.

We seem to have bounced back well in the 2 prior years following our "bad game". Hopefully Rhule can press the right buttons again.

After the "bad game" vs Michigan in 2023: 20-13 W at Illinois (game on a Friday)
After the "bad game" vs Indiana in 2024: 21-17 L at Ohio St

This is baffling to me. Neb's two losses last year were to better teams, and they went 1-4 after their "bad game". How is that a bounce back?

From a few podcast sources, I think they’re tough in their mentality, disciplined and have good foundation skills. This is going to be a tough one. Their strengths seem to hit our Achilles heels. To me, this is the game that’s tells us how far we’ve come. Michigan we were never gonna win, last week we can claim distractactability. But this is a solid and underrated team. Hold on tight.
