PSU - What Did We Learn?

I learned nothing, just reinforced what I already knew. This team is not that good. Our defense is terrible. The high ranked passing defense is a smoke screen, teams only need to run to beat us, so passing isn’t necessary. We still play like we don’t belong. If you’re outmatched, you should throw everything you have at the other guy and at least leave a mark. Instead we play conservative and get stomped. Pathetic play calling and no cajones make the team lose confidence and play scared. I see very little progress in this team. Same thing we’ve seen for the last 15+ years.

Ypc of opposing leading rusher against P4 teams. If the lead rusher was the QB I note that and add in the RB.

I posted this on another thread. If were comparing apples to apples, who would want to come here or other Big 10 teams if your a Top 250 player? SEC is where the power and money is right now. Each school has like a 30 minutes program on ESPN every week. ESPN is promoting this conference to the hilt. When Texas and OU left the Big 12 it ruined college football for everyone. ESPN soon followed paying to air all SEC sports. Ohio St is our bell cow and if or when they fall off, its all SEC and Notre Dame. ACC and Big 12 are falling into mediocrity. This what ESPN wants. They want the SEC and other select programs to be in the conversation and separate from the also rans and has beens. The future of college football is in question right now. If 5 or more SEC schools make the playoffs, with weaker SOS scores than other schools in other conferences, then we have issues.
