I mean he did his job sure, and that's nice. Like I said, don't wish him any ill will, if he succeeds elsewhere, ok. But if he fails, eh, ok too. It's all just business transactions now.

Which is a commentary on the current system, not Dylan.
 
i wonder if the coaches are happy with the QB room as is? TJ and that transfer from Purdue? (sorry, can't think of his name now). maybe spend the money on better players around them and give it a go next season and see how it goes.

TJ isn't going to magically get significantly better. He's a G5 QB, a really solid backup at a place like Nebraska.

If he's the starter next year, this program is in trouble. They'll be looking at a 3-9 or 4-8 record against a difficult schedule.


We saw TJ against good teams and it was a disaster.

Next year, he won't have the luxury of handing the ball off to an All-American RB either. TJ being the guy would be an unmitigated disaster, unless the goal is to fire Rhule and move on sooner rather than later.

If Dylan is the starter on this team next year we go 3-9 or 4-8. I think we got worse this year but had an easy schedule. TJ played a significantly harder schedule in his first few starts than Dylan. I would argue Dylan had a pretty easy schedule all year. MI didn’t start out looking good. USC and Iowa were tougher than any team Dylan played this year. Given the injuries and teams played for each qb, the plane is not level for comparison.

Trolling at it's finest. Dylan kept us in games and won games that we otherwise would have lost without him. Let's not drag his name through the mud, just to fit your narrative.

Dylan led us to winning seasons with lesser talent around him. Unfortunately, we will almost certainly see an exodus of skill players ahead, specifically Barney.

Agree that next year's schedule is much harder while this year's schedule was the easiest since joining the BIG. I honestly think Rhule understands its make or break time for him. If Nebraska finished 6-6 or worse next year he is on a super hot seat despite the large payout.

Frankly, if he finishes 6-6 I might give him a pass depending on how close the losses are. That schedule is that brutal.
