Frankly, if he finishes 6-6 I might give him a pass depending on how close the losses are. That schedule is that brutal.
After the UCLA game he showed he's pretty meh
Depends on your expectations.
If you start him next season against that schedule, and you want Rhule to get fired instead of trodding through 3 more years of this, then by all means start TJ.
He'd be a really good QB at the G5 level, but if the goal is to compete for a bowl game next year, Nebraska needs a considerable upgrade.
Nope, not me. Give TJ the same support and treatment that DR had been given from the staff with the #1 practice reps through next year's first game, plus time working with WRs off season etc... And 3 cupcake games to start the year.... That kind of confidence could turn into something really good.
Backup plan would be at least talk to some portal QBs
TJ only had a couple of games to prove himself as a true freshman and the majority of folks here were in favor of starting him over DR not too long ago.No, I would say no one has given up on TJ, but rather he looked like a freshman when facing better competition. Not sure anyone is extremely comfortable based on those final games. Bringing in a top proven QB will be essential. Guys like Sorsby, Chiles, Lageway, Leavitt have all been mentioned by fans
It will be a long time before anybody has such incredible sack-ability.Well..
Texas Tech is way better then Nebraska and that hurts me to even say that.Hate to lose Dylan, happy to lose uncle Donny. If it took DR leaving to can Donny, that’s a fair trade. I’ll laugh my arse off fine goes to Texas tech to continue his mahomes charade.
And a multitude of schools he committed to play college at.Look at how many times Dylan transferred in high school. The signs were there for anyone recruiting him.
Is he a talented QB? - Yes he is.
Is he a good teammate? - I would say yes & no.
I wish the kid the absolute best of luck in his future. NEBRASKA moves forward.
I think this could have been accomplished with any serviceable QB and done a hell of a lot cheaper... JHOTrolling at it's finest. Dylan kept us in games and won games that we otherwise would have lost without him. Let's not drag his name through the mud, just to fit your narrative.
Dylan led us to winning seasons with lesser talent around him. Unfortunately, we will almost certainly see an exodus of skill players ahead, specifically Barney.
Money...I don't see why Sorsby would come here when he could go to a more stable, presently stronger program.
I tend to disagree only for the simple fact that Dylan made some incredible throws for touchdowns in very tight places. I remember when Adrian Martinez couldn't even throw a screen pass.I think this could have been accomplished with any serviceable QB and done a hell of a lot cheaper... JHO
Go get Nico
So has everyone already given up on TJ or is he headed to the portal too?
