& yet he will be a late round pick. He's not as good as his hype warranted.
So we've reached the point where a guy who was the leading rusher - averaging over five yards per carry - as both a true freshman and a sophomore for a Top 5 team which has been the most dominant team in the country over at least the past five years is being called an underachiever.
Good times.
But he is effective and he's got power. I'm not so worried how it projects to the NFL or style points so long as it contributes to wins and is effective. We could've definitely used a back like him the past few years with all the 3rd/4th and short plays where we tried a variety of options and failed consistently. There is nothing special about Nate Frazier's game. He is not someone that I see having a very long career at the next level. He was overrated when he was at Mater Dei. He has always played on teams with the talent advantage. Watch his tape. He is slow, not explosive or has the kind of agility needed to be good to great at that position. For being a borderline 5 star and regarded as a top 3-5 back coming out . . . He ain't it.
