Dylan Raiola

Well crap, guys, I guess we know where Dylan's going now - Google just told me!

LMAO AJ Bush is who I was thinking of, I just couldn't remember his name.

For years Google had "don't be evil" above their masthead.
In November 2016 they changed it to "be evil".

It's probably a good idea for people not to put Silicon Valley in charge of their brain.

If NIL was not a thing I feel fan reaction would be a little more subdued. Fact is he made a couple million while his family had a stranglehold on the program direction for 2 years and the moment Rhule puts a little bit of "hold on a sec" he suddenly needs a "fresh start"... I wish the guy best of luck wherever he goes but the juice was not worth the next 2 year squeeze imo.

I would put a different spin on this and say the payoff for everything NU seemingly compromised for Dylan could only be realized if he continued at NU. He wasn't the transcendent talent & program savior the hopes of the program were pinned on, but he's a talented QB with a ton of room for improvement.

Respectfully disagree. I think DR is a good QB..I think Lateef is an ok QB. Both would do better with a solid OL. But Lateef, with playing time has more ability to grow passing (confidence, he throws some good balls) and running then DR has.

I want Nebraska to be the 1st team to pay buckets of $ for OL and DL. You can find "good" QB's...year after year...but the trenches, you get dudes that win consistently on the line...EVERYONE is going to be better.

The “yards before contact” stats this year show we were actually a good run blocking team.

Now, pass blocking? Yeah - it was consistently pretty bad.
Not that it’s pertinent to the overall discussion, but right there (to me anyway) is a perfect example of a misleading statistic. “YBC”, to me anyway, should indicate a back is having clean holes and not getting touched until the second level.

I don’t think that’s truly representative our situation. I think the reason our YBC look respectable is because EJ was simply phenomenal at making the first guy miss. Right at the line of scrimmage. Not becasue he was at the 2nd level before getting hit. He made the OL look better than they were. Turned a whole lot of “no gain” plays into positives.

Again, I know. Not pertinent to this discussion, just an observation as to the way statistics can be misleading. In my opinion. Ok, back to read only for me.
