Could we please not argue about fantastical hypotheticals that are never going to happen. Dylan ain’t coming back and Nebraska isn’t going to have him back.
If he did return it would mean that both parties came crawling back. DR would have to accept a much smaller NIL package, if any (he won’t), and the understanding he would be competing for playing time which he is unlikely to get (again-he won’t). And Nebraska would have to offer him something (they won’t) and accept the limitations of a statue QB (again-won’t).
He gone. He’ll end up someplace better for him, someplace more designed for a pocket passer that has no mobility, but for less NIL $$ than we were giving him. His value is no longer what it once was. And we’ll end up with a QB that can move at least a little bit, and hopefully have a decent arm and a better sense of when to get the ball out. It’ll be better for both of us, really.
