Dylan Raiola

I would guess that with the QB we signed we are moving on even if he wanted to come back.

The fact that he hasn’t signed anywhere is interesting. Did he over estimate his market? Or is it a team still in the CFP?
Has he recovered from his surgery? I'd guess that might limit him if not.

Oregon is a surprise as their starter is a so. & they have a young qb room. Can't see him riding the pine!

It would be dependent on Moore entering the draft. The rest of the room is young but all mid-low 3 stars or walk-ons, and then Akili Smith Jr. who was a 4-star but not considered particularly polished. If Moore is gone Oregon will be looking for a starter and Raiola is one of the best available, if he stays they won't.

Is more good enough to declare for the draft?

Which, begs the question, if Moore stays at Oregon, what is Raiola's next best option? Seems like it's getting pretty thin.

Could we please not argue about fantastical hypotheticals that are never going to happen. Dylan ain’t coming back and Nebraska isn’t going to have him back.

If he did return it would mean that both parties came crawling back. DR would have to accept a much smaller NIL package, if any (he won’t), and the understanding he would be competing for playing time which he is unlikely to get (again-he won’t). And Nebraska would have to offer him something (they won’t) and accept the limitations of a statue QB (again-won’t).

He gone. He’ll end up someplace better for him, someplace more designed for a pocket passer that has no mobility, but for less NIL $$ than we were giving him. His value is no longer what it once was. And we’ll end up with a QB that can move at least a little bit, and hopefully have a decent arm and a better sense of when to get the ball out. It’ll be better for both of us, really.
I was responding to “crawling back” statement which I find is domineering and sadomasochistic. I don’t think it likely he returns, but it seems topics related to DR seem so much more emotional than they should be. With the amount of portal movement every year, we’re going to see some repeats.
